Ponsonby Backpackers is a large, 2 story 19th century character villa located in the heart of Ponsonby, one of Auckland's trendiest multi-cultural inner city suburbs.

Sleeping a maximum of 40 guests, we are one of Auckland's smallest, relaxed and most hospitable budget accommodation options. Our staff is the key to our success. Incredibly friendly and helpful, we go the extra mile to make your stay with us feel like a 'home away from home'. We pride ourselves on creating the most warm, relaxed, helpful and caring hostel environment in Auckland!

We use energy efficient lighting and environmentally safe cleaning products, recycle glass, plastics, paper, and food scraps, the results of which drive our fresh herb garden.
